Have you seen the old “Leave it to Beaver” reruns on late night television?  If you haven’t, let me tell you a little about that TV show.  The mother in the show is June, whose makeup is always perfect and she always wears high heels and never has a hair out of place.  Not only does she always look perfect but she is the perfect mom that always serves breakfast to her family at the breakfast table.  Ward, the father, wears a suit and tie each day and is always showered and shaved.  Their perfect day starts with them and their two boys gathered around the breakfast table for their morning meal.  June pours coffee from a coffee carafe into Ward’s coffee cup as they talk about their upcoming day.  It cracks me up because no family is perfect like theirs!

Leave It To Beaver
I have to think that most households operate pretty much like mine does.  Our daily routine is busy, hectic and insane!  How about yours?  Is it about the same?  Our mornings are done on the fly.  Most mornings, breakfast is a bowl of cold cereal or a breakfast bar.  It’s every man, woman, and child for themselves!  Coffee is “to go” as we all rush around trying to get to work and school on time.  My husband and I each have our own “to-go” spillproof mugs so that we can drink our morning coffee on the way to work.

Some mornings we have to make a stop at the nearest McDonalds and buy a coffee to go because SOMEBODY at our house forgot to set the automatic timer on the coffee maker the night before.  Go figure!

It’s a good thing that technology caught up with “real life,” and those spillproof coffee mugs that are well-insulated and made of unbreakable space-materials are available.  I wouldn’t want to drink my coffee out of the fine china coffee cup that Ward drank his out of while I’m driving a carload of kids through rush hour traffic while trying to organize the family schedule that consists of baseball practice, softball practice, tutoring, etc.  Sometimes I think it is more complicated than a rocket launch at NASA!  LOL!

To be honest, coffee to go is a necessity in our busy world.  I’d hate to think what it would be like without coffee to go…quite honestly, it’s either coffee to go, or no coffee at all.
